Directions: Drive from M3 to Hampshire. Take exit 14 from M3 > Take A33 to A3024 in Southampton > At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Bassett Avenue/A33 > Continue to follow A33 and go through one roundabout > At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Brunswick Pl/A3024 > Continue to follow A3024 > Take the first left into Commercial Road > Southampton City Art Gallery is on your right opposite the park building.
The gallery is one of Southampton’s hidden gems, with its spacious iconic Art Deco main hall and one of the finest collections of art in the south of England. For atmosphere and unique surroundings, the gallery is hard to beat.
Southampton City Art Gallery is equipped to cater for conferences, seminars, meetings or training days. The gallery has a full Lecture Theatre available for up to 100 people, and space in the main hall for up to 120 seated or 300 standing. Smaller spaces are also available in the side galleries allowing capacity for up to 475 guests.
If you are looking for a venue to provide a unique backdrop to your conference or event, both spaces offer an iconic setting. With its original design and large space, including a glass-roofed atrium, SeaCity Museum is spectacular both during the day and at night. At the Art Gallery, choose from the large open spaces in the Main Hall and side galleries or a smaller, more private setting in the Baring Room.
