A Little Piece of History – The Elvetham
Here at Hampshire Conference Bureau’s we have an extensive venue list, showcasing many historic event spaces providing tranquil and productive environments. To draw attention to just one of these elegant venues would be The Elvetham.
With a well-documented history dating back to the 11th century, filled with royalty, nobility and scandals – home to the Seymour family in 1535, Edward Seymour entertained King Henry VIII where he met and later married his third wife, Jane Seymour. Another event saw Queen Elizabeth in 1591, hosted a lavish 4-day event and entertainment to her entourage of 500, where she also planted an Oaktree to commemorate the occasion – This same tree still stands within the grounds more than 33 feet in circumference.
The Victorian building steeped with history meets modern connectivity offers complimentary super-fast wifi and all facilities under one roof, or across their 35 acres grounds. With choice and flexibility of 17 meeting rooms and private event spaces inclusive of views of the formal gardens. This venue not only holds 72 Bedrooms and private dining rooms with free on-site parking. But also, vast outdoor space for team building, motorised sports and perfect for summer parties.
